This is the table runner I made for my mom for Mother’s Day. She got it a week early b/c I wasn’t gonna see her that day, unfortunately I had to work. She loved it! I used purple and black alternating for the binding, as I didn’t get enough black, go me…lol. She has been to the islands, so I knew she would like the bright colors. I’m still working on Elena’s quilt, which is driving me nuts still. More pics later on that.
I’m starting to work on a quilt for my 8 year old….it’s slow going at this point b/c it’s all half-square triangles….very tricky, plus the pattern shows lots I different colors, but I downgraded it to 4 for the main design, then one more for the small border, not sure what I’m doing for the larger border….that will have to come soon enough.
This was the first time I was involved in a mug rug swap. The woman I was partnered up with lives in Texas, so it was interesting to see how her quilting style was compared to mine. I do have to say, both pairs of mug rugs turned out beautiful!
